Tax Day. Several Tea Parties all over the nation to protest the administration.
Home Depot parking lot: a stranger gives my girlfriend and I a $20+ piece of equipment to safely leash some over sized plywood to my car. When i offer to pay him refuses and leaves.
Pretty frigging cool if you ask me. That guy was a grade A dude in my book. He stopped to help, and went the extra mile.
You may have heard the Flobots before, most likely 'Handlebars'. But i feel this song is a better representation of their full body of work.
The bands music is driven by political and social ideologies. This song should be pretty clear it's message, but in case you missed it; "rise together... we rise together".
With that line as the chorus' driving force it seemed fitting for my experience today: people helping people.
That's worth something no?
